House Rules
Walcot House is a one stop shop, to eat, drink and play. Our team is passionate about hospitality, serving exceptional food, drink and good times. With that in mind we ask that you adhere to the following House Rules.
-
Please do not shout, chant, whistle or cause general disruption whilst enjoying our space.
Treat our staff with respect and kindness and we will do the same for our guests.
Large groups will be looked after as one and any persons removal or refusal to serve is at our team’s discretion.
-
Whilst we want everyone to have a good time under our roof, we will not serve people we perceive to be overly intoxicated.
-
Large groups are asked to pay with a maximum of two transactions so there is no confusion or items that get missed. If a member of your party leaves without paying their share, it becomes your responsibility to settle the bill.
-
We keep a record of items we find and will hold them for up to two weeks before donating them to charity.
-
We operate a strict no fancy dress policy. This applies to all guests, regardless of the occasion. We kindly ask that you do not bring or wear:
Themed Accessories: This includes props, headpieces, sashes, and badges.
Balloons: balloons are strictly not permitted in any of our public spaces.
Note: If you are celebrating a special event, please keep these restrictions in mind to avoid any disappointment at the door!
-
Under 12s are more than welcome in our Dilly Bar until early evening.
We kindly ask that children are supervised by an adult at all times, especially when moving through the building or using the facilities.
Due to the layout and floor plan of our dining area, we are unable to accommodate prams or pushchairs inside the restaurant.
-
Well mannered dogs are welcome in The Dilly Bar but must be kept on leads and off the furniture at all times. If they become disruptive with barking we may ask you to leave.
-
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate hen or stag parties at Walcot House. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if we become aware it’s for a hen or stag party.
We also reserve the right to refuse entry to any group that arrives at the venue for a booking where it becomes apparent it’s a hen or stag party.
